Exploring the World of Book Collecting

Collectible bowhunting books can be tricky to assemble. The best copies come from older collections where the owner has passed away and his widow is ready to downsize. A solid bowhunting collection is about 200 books and includes the oldest archery books as well as many signed, First Edition copies of famous bowhunters and industry icons. Occasionally a famous bowhunter will decide to sell his books and this is an ideal situation. A good example is traditional bowhunter Barry Wentzel who recently sold his books. Most of the books he sold contained his bookplate and signature which is a fantastic provenance especially the books he had which were autographed by other famous bowhunters to him.
